More than 40 properties named in a massive $50-million civil suit and owned by a former London Health Sciences Centre executive and his contractor friend have been designated by the court as part of the litigation.
In a brief hearing Friday, Superior Court Justice Barbara Macfarlane made the order to have 42 properties in London and one in Whitby issued with certificates of pending litigation.
The motion requesting the certificates was filed earlier this month by LHSC. It was approved “on consent,” meaning both the hospital and the defendants agreed to the terms of the order.
