A Kingston man was charged with felony assault after he allegedly cut another man on the head, neck and face with a knife.

According to Kingston City Police, at approximately 8:30 p.m. on Aug. 13, Deandre D. Green, 27, of Kingston, allegedly assaulted a 19-year-old man by cutting his head, neck and face with what police called "a sharp-bladed weapon."

The assault took place on Broadway between Elmendorf Street and East Saint James Place.

The victim was treated for his wounds at a local hospital.

Following an investigation by Kingston City Police, assisted by the Town of Ulster Police Department, Green was indicted by an Ulster County grand jury, and an Ulster County Court warrant was issued for his arrest.
