SHREVEPORT, La. (KTAL/KMSS) – A Shreveport filmmaker is set to premiere his film "The Power of Pickleball" at Fox Studios in California.

Shreveport filmmaker Alexander Jeffrey directed the two-year project to bring the film to life.

An Instagram page for the film shares that it is a documentary meant to tug at heartstrings and demonstrate the life-changing capabilities of the sport.

Creating the movie was no overnight feat, the director says in a one-minute video with The Pickleball Channel, the journey allowed him to really understand the draw factor of pickleball.

"What we experienced and what I'm sure that many of you guys have experience, is that warm welcoming spirit of pickleball"

The movie is set to show on Friday, August 29, 2025, in Los Angeles, in the Darryl F. Zanuck Theate
