Rock Island, Ill. (KWQC) - Patching and resurfacing will begin Tuesday on Interstates 74 and 280, from the Milan Beltway in Rock Island County to the Henry County line.

The $11.5 million project will patch and resurface the road, including the ramps at the I-74 and U.S. 6 interchange, according to the Illinois Department of Transportation.

Work will be done in two stages, and one lane of traffic will be closed to traffic during each stage.

STAGE 1: Word for the eastbound lanes of I-74 and I-280, including the exit and entrance ramps at the I-74 and U.S. 6 interchange, will begin Tuesday and is expected to be done by the end of November.
