LILLINGTON, N.C. (WTVD) -- The Harnett County Sheriff's Office is cracking down on the sale of illegal Tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) products and the alleged sale of smoking products to minors.
A recent investigation into nine smoke shops across the county led to the seizure of 64 pounds of THC and $49,033 in cash.
According to the sheriff's office, the shops claimed to sell THC products within legal limits, but the actual levels were significantly higher.
The products have been linked to medical emergencies that required emergency responses in schools and throughout Harnett County.
