FARGO — Fargo AmVets is honoring the fallen with new murals.
The four murals, honoring the Army, Navy, Marine Corps and the Air Force, were installed throughout Friday morning, Aug. 29.
The largest installation honors Air Force 1st Lt. Jon Greeley, a Fargo native who went missing in action in Vietnam.
Fargo AmVets board member Rick Olek Jr. said the artist, Kim Jore, gave veterans true recognition.
"It actually brings tears to my eyes and memories, good and bad. I was an Army vet, and the one with the Army on she found out I rode on a tank, a dismount machine on a tank. So she put the tank in there, kind of, especially for me," Olek said.
Olek said the veterans at the AmVets are very proud of the installation.
