A legal matter involving former executive director of the Churchill Arts Council has been resolved, reports the council’s board of directors in an Aug. 18 release.
“While the financial terms of the settlement are confidential, the resolution includes several important provisions: the return of the four pieces of artwork that had been removed from the Oats Park Art Center that were still in Mr. Scott’s possession, a signed statement of apology, and acknowledgment of past conduct,” the board stated. “These outcomes reflect the council’s commitment to transparency, accountability and responsible stewardship.”
Throughout this process, the board said they remained focused on protecting the interests of the Churchill Arts Council.
