CAMDEN -- For around three decades, people have gathered at the Camden Public Landing during Labor Day Weekend for the Camden Windjammer Festival to take in an eclectic mix of vendors, activities, and a coastal town's maritime heritage.

"The rain has eased up, people are already coming down, we're just happy to be here," said Grace McMullan, Assistant Director of Camden Parks and Recreation.

The annual event is run by the town of Camden, with help from the Maine Windjammers Association, and the town's Harbormaster and their crew.

"This, we believe, is the 31st year, so it's been going on for quite some time," McMullan said on Friday, August 29. "It's a great group effort."
