BREWER -- The team at the Maine Veterans Project has once again stepped up to ensure a local veteran has what they need to succeed.
According to Doc Goodwin, the president and janitor of the Maine Veterans Project, Robert Brown is a combat veteran from Naples who was unable to continue his education because he no longer had a reliable vehicle.
After learning about Brown's situation, MVP decided that a Ford Explorer, recently donated by Loreli Banister, would be the perfect fit for Brown.
"It's just amazing. This whole thing has been amazing," says Brown, "I just couldn't believe it till I pulled in, and I'm still having a hard time believing it.
"If this car helps him get to school or a doctor's appointment or down to the VFW to talk to guys like him, then I'm happy," states Banister
