ATLANTA — 11Alive got the chance to talk with the Atlanta Journal-Constitution's editor-in-chief after the newspaper shared it would stop its daily print edition at the end of the year.
The AJC is Georgia’s largest newspaper and has been a staple in the metro Atlanta area and the state since 1868 -- more than 150 years. The last printed edition will roll off the presses on Dec. 31, 2025. While the move aligns with broader trends in the media industry, it also means some staff members will be impacted. The company said about 30 employees will lose their jobs as part of the transition.
