SAN DIEGO (FOX 5/KUSI) -- Clouds have cleared and rain has dried up as a warm weekend takes over for the Labor Day holiday in Southern California.

Leftovers of Tropical Storm Juliette brought some much needed and beneficial rainfall for a normally dry August as well as a break from the hot heat Thursday. Now and into the holiday weekend, conditions are drying out and warming up thanks to the return of high pressure.

Temperatures will be topping out in the low 80s for the beaches, low to mid-90s for the valleys, upper 80s to low 90s in the mountains and close to 108 degrees in the deserts. These afternoon temperatures will be slightly above average for most by a few degrees.
