BATON ROUGE, La. (WAFB) - It’s the start of the Labor Day weekend, and some neighborhoods may wake up to a few showers on Saturday morning.

The first wave of rain should exit the viewing area in the morning, but a second wave could bring more wet weather during the afternoon. Scattered showers and storms are possible, with heavy rain and gusty winds being the main threats.

Rain chances are set at 50 percent for Saturday and decrease on Sunday and Labor Day Monday.

Our weather looks good after Labor Day, with highs near 90 degrees and lows near 70 degrees.
