JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — The Jacksonville Housing Authority is moving in a new direction to expand and preserve affordable housing in the city.

The EPIC Initiative, launched in April, focuses on efficiency, innovation, productivity, and collaboration to provide families with stability.

For residents like Clara Buckholtz, who has lived in one of Jacksonville’s affordable housing properties for 25 years, the impact is already clear. “I love it out here,” she said. “I call this my home.”

“These are endless opportunities for the expansion and affordability to really reduce housing insecurity in Jacksonville,” said Cheron Corbettwaller, CEO of the Jacksonville Housing Authority.

Buckholtz added, “I appreciate what they’ve done already out here.”
