SPENCER, Iowa (KTIV) - A Northwest Iowa man was sentenced Wednesday, Aug. 27, to federal prison on a drug charge.

Thirty-three-year-old Dylan Halbur of Spencer was sentenced to more than eight years in federal prison after he pleaded guilty to one count of possession with intent to distribute a mixture of substances containing a detectable amount of methamphetamine, according to the U.S. Attorney’s Office.

He pleaded guilty to the charge on Friday, March 28.

The attorney’s office says evidence presented at both the plea and sentencing hearings showed that on Monday, Aug. 26, 2024, authorities executed a search warrant on a camper in Spencer, where Halbur “was known to reside and store items.”
