HOWLAND, Ohio (WKBN) - The diverging diamond project was revolutionary when it was announced two years ago. ODOT believes they can reduce crashes by over 30%, plus construction can be cheaper and faster.
That last point, the speed of construction, is now coming true for the project in Howland.
More road closed signs are posted near the diverging diamond interchange, but they also signal that the project is near completion.
"We're hopeful that by late October this year, we're done and out of there," said Justin Chesnic, a spokesperson for ODOT.
