As the new school year begins on September 2, Lethbridge Police Service is stepping up enforcement to ensure traffic safety in school playground zones.

With more children walking and biking, drivers are urged to slow down, obey the rules of the roads and stay alert. Sgt. Tony Ramotowksi from Traffic Response Unit with LPS gives tips for drivers, cyclists, and students.

The sergeant advises cyclists not to ride on the sidewalk unless it is a designated multi-use pathway.
