KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) - The Knoxville Police Department has announced it is investigating a reported shooting that happened in Knoxville Friday afternoon.

KPD says around 4 p.m., officers responded to the parking lot of Holston Oaks Apartments off Riverside Drive for reports of a shooting.

When they arrived, officers could not find a gunshot victim, but KPD says they were told that a victim had already arrived at an area hospital.

The victim’s injuries are believed to be non-life threatening.

KPD is investigating.
