Residents in East Ridge are still recovering from the extreme flooding that happened on August 12th.

It has been confirmed by East Ridge Mayor Brian Williams that the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) will not be assisting those affected by the recent flooding in East Ridge. However, the search for funding is not over yet.

Despite the widespread impact, early estimates suggest the county may fall short of the $13 million in statewide damages required for federal FEMA assistance.
