A man arrested in Berthoud was indicted for abuse of corpse in the second degree Wednesday in connection to remains found in a U-Haul in The Dalles, Oregon last month.

Richard Robinson, who remains in custody in Larimer County Jail, was indicted for the Class C felony by a Wasco County grand jury in Oregon, according to a press release by the Wasco County District Attorney’s Office. The indictment alleges that Robinson unlawfully and intentionally did “abuse, disinter, remove or carry away a corpse” on June 6, 2024 in Wasco County.

In the indictment, the state alleges Robinson committed the crime to evade criminal punishment.
