SHREVEPORT, La. (KSLA) - The rain has fizzled out just in time for Friday night football games around the ArkLaTex! However, 4.62 inches of rain fell at the Shreveport Regional Airport today, which is more than 1 inch higher than the daily record for today. Going through the rest of today, mostly cloudy skies are expected with winds steadily coming out of the north. Temperatures are expected to remain in the 70s through the night and drop into the 60s by early tomorrow morning.

Through Labor Day weekend, much drier weather is returning. Scattered showers and storms will be possible through Saturday morning and parts of the afternoon.
