BROCKPORT, N.Y. (WROC) — The reopening of the Main Street Bridge in Brockport is delayed once again, according to an announcement on the Brockport village website.
For students, residents, and business owners who travel through the area, the delay is frustrating.
“I think the best thing we've been telling people is these makes 2020 COVID look like a cakewalk. This bridge closure has been that awful [and] that detrimental to our business and our main street,” said Lift Bridge Book Shop Owner Sarah Bonczyk. She has owned the bookstore with her husband on Main Street for more than ten years and said that since the bridge repairs started. The area is not what it used to be.
