Welcome to another Football Friday in Florida! High school football games stretched from coast to coast this weekend with Lakeland journeying to California to face De La Salle .

There was plenty of action on the gridiron closer to home as well, with great games on the schedule from Miami and Tampa up through Orlando to Jacksonville and Tallahassee. The best on the slate was Venice vs. Miami Northwestern with both state champions after their first win of the 2025. We also saw Mainland vs. Cocoa, Vero Beach vs. Buchholz and, out in the Panhandle, Pensacola Catholic vs. Pace.

Columbus traveled to Maryland to face Our Lady of Good Counsel, while IMG Academy took on Winslow Township in New Jersey on Thursday night. Meanwhile, Cardinal Mooney welcomed Colorado state champ Cherry Creek.
