A resource fair was held at Allegheny Commons Park on Friday in honor of International Overdose Awareness Day.

Several organizations gave out packets that have Narcan and a test for the animal tranquilizer medetomidine that is resistant to Narcan . Advertisement

The Allegheny County Health Department is also warning people about a new drug called "Flysky," which contains the tranquilizer.

The department is sending out an alert about medetomidine being in drugs in the Pittsburgh area.

"It's a tranquilizer, and it's incredibly powerful. It is a sedative, so it really gives some other symptoms than what we've been seeing before," said Dr. Iulia Vann, director of the health department.
