We're looking at a really lovely stretch of weather here across Southern Illinois and the Mid-Mississippi River Valley as we head into the Labor Day holiday weekend and beyond.
We've got a great pattern set up, thanks to high pressure anchored over the Great Lakes, directing cooler and drier air into our region. This means we can expect mostly dry conditions with pleasant temperatures that are running several degrees below what we might typically see this time of year.
As we kick off the weekend, expect generally sunny skies with highs climbing into the mid-80s on Saturday, cooling just slightly into the low 80s for Sunday with partly cloudy conditions.
As we approach Monday, we will see our cloud cover increase a bit, and there's a slight chance of a rain shower, but overall, condition
