President Donald Trump is attempting to remove Federal Reserve Governor Lisa Cook from her position, citing allegations from Federal Housing Finance Agency Director William Pulte that she listed two properties as her primary residence on mortgage documents.

Trump posted on social media Monday that he was firing Cook, effective immediately. She responded by saying Trump has "no authority" to fire her and declining to resign.

According to public data, Cook owns a condominium in Cambridge, which she listed as a secondary residence. The Trump administration is alleging that Cook later called it a rental/investment property
