The provincial government is investing nearly 1.5 million to upgrade a Southwestern Ontario municipality’s pumping station to facilitate the construction of 1,000 new homes.
An announcement from Lambton-Kent-Middlesex MPP Steve Pinsonneault on Friday stated that Queen’s Park was providing Southwest Middlesex – a largely rural municipality southwest of London – nearly $1.5 million to upgrade the Industrial Road sanitary pumping station. The funding will unlock new “housing opportunities” to “support economic growth in the local community,” according to a news release from Pinsonneault’s office.
