Despite the 2025 cross-country postseason still being months away, the race for sectional and group state titles is already beginning to take shape.

From Aug. 25 to Aug. 29, NJ Advance Media’s cross-country team will spotlight the top preseason contenders across all six groups for both boys and girls, identifying early favorites and other teams poised to make noise this fall.
