McDONALD — The McDonald Blue Devils honored its 100 years of history on Friday, and wanted to make this game one to remember.
McDonald piled on the points in celebration, knocking down Columbiana, 41-7.
“It’s fantastic for us,” Blue Devils coach Dan Williams said. “The whole community, the alumni guys, we had 235 guys come back and 35 coaches. It was a great event in the pregame, but it means a lot to get out here with a win. It was a big celebration this evening and the kids were excited about this evening.
“They’ve had this one circled on the calendar. They were excited to play in front of the old-timers, and just show them that they’re going to leave their mark here in the history books of McDonald football as well.”
