NEW MEXICO (KRQE) – New Mexico Department of Game and Fish officials said a cyber attack is affecting online license sales. The department said it experienced a bot attack, which means automated programs are trying to steal data or make fraudulent purchases. As a result, the department has shut down its online payment processing system.
You can still use cash to get a license or permit from a vendor, and many vendors accept credit cards. Game and Fish said they are working to resolve the problem, but it's unclear how long that will take.
