STANDING STONE, PA. (WENY) -- One person was killed after the dump truck they were driving overturned Friday.

According to Pennsylvania State Police, it happened on State Route 6 near Rummerfield Road in Standing Stone Township around Noon. The driver was identified as 57-year-old Jody Travelpiece, who was from Benton, Pa.

Travelpiece was driving the dump truck west on Route 6 with a large stone load when the truck's front passenger tire went off the roadway. Police say he over corrected the dump truck and the vehicle overturned onto the drivers side, coming to a rest in the middle of the road.

First responders say Travelpiece was stuck inside the truck and was found unresponsive inside the vehicle when they arrived on scene. He was eventually pulled from the truck and was declared dead
