STANDING STONE TOWNSHIP, Pa (WENY) -- A man driving a dump truck died Friday afternoon after a crash in Standing Stone Township.
According to Pennsylvania State Police, a dump truck traveling westbound on State Route 6 near Rummerfield Road overturned around 12 p.m.
State Police said the dump truck was carrying large stones at the time of the crash. Troopers said the front passenger wheel traveled off the right side of the road, causing the driver to over correct. Police said the truck overturning onto the driver's side in the middle of the roadway. The driver was declared deceased at the scene. The dump truck was the only vehicle involved in the crash.
The driver was identified as 57-year-old Jody G. Travelpiece of Benton, Pa.
