BRADFORD COUNTY, Pa. — A truck driver is dead after a crash on Friday in Bradford County .
State police responded to the scene of a crash around noon in Standing Stone Township. A 4-axle dump truck carrying a large stone was traveling westbound along State Route 6 near Rummerfield Road when the front passenger tire veered off the road.
The driver, 57-year-old Jody Travelpiece, of Benton, overcorrected the truck; as a result, the truck overturned onto the driver's side in the middle of the road. Travelpiece was wearing a seat belt and was stuck, unresponsive.
When crews arrived at the scene and got Travelpiece out, he was pronounced dead.
