PORTLAND, Maine — Comic book artist and writer Michael J. DelleFemine, known professionally as Mort Todd, has died at 63 at his Portland home, according to an obituary.
Todd’s career began in the 1980s and included work with both Marvel and DC Comics. He served as editor of Cracked , a satirical magazine similar to Mad , and contributed as a writer, artist, and editor to characters such as Superman and Spider-Man. He also created illustrations for magazines, CD covers, newspapers, and advertising, and was remembered for supporting artists by hiring and mentoring talent early in their careers.
