PORTLAND Ore. (KPTV) - A 44-year-old Portland man is facing almost 22 years in prison after repeated convictions of distributing child sexual abuse material (CSAM), the U.S. Attorney’s Office said on Friday.
In April 2024, Travis Jay Grygla was already a registered sex offender on federal probation after he was convicted in 2008 of sharing CSAM.
According to court documents, federal investigators learned that Grygla was storing more CSAM at his home and sharing it with another registered sex offender.
On April 24, 2024, federal agents searched Grygla’s home and seized multiple electronic devices, which he was prohibited from having while on probation. One of the devices held more than 200 media files of CSAM, including material with very young children.
