(WHTM) -- Micah Parsons will ditch his No. 11 jersey when he takes the field for Green Bay this year.

The Harrisburg native has worn the number since his days playing for Penn State, but wide receiver Jayden Reed already laid claim to the jersey on the Packers roster. So, Parsons asked his followers on X to decide what to wear next.

Long considered unofficially retired, no Packer has worn that number since Curly Lambeau, the founder of the team, in 1929. However, rather than retiring the number, the team chose to honor the legendary player and coach by naming its stadium after him.
