LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) - A new school year marks the start of a new season for Cats fans.

Many tailgaters are preparing for Saturday’s kickoff a day early.

For 9th grader Adalyn Myers, it’s a family tradition.

“You know they say the most wonderful time of the year is Christmas, but I think this is the most wonderful time of the year for me and my family,” Myers says.

Todd Harris has been coming to UK football games for most of his life.

“Tailgating back then was literally probably out of the tailgate of your car, a little different on just the pavement,” Harris says

Now, his setup has evolved into an entertainment center with a television, chairs and a space for getting together with family and friends before and after the game.
