Passengers on board a Virgin flight from Bali to Brisbane have been forced to use bottles and sinks after all toilets on the plane broke down.
The rear lavatory was already out of service when flight VA50 took off on Thursday afternoon but the six-hour service was not delayed or cancelled because of limited engineering support in Denpasar.
Complete disaster then struck on the Boeing 737 MAX 8 when the remaining two toilets completely malfunctioned and could not be used.
“One elderly woman was unable to hold on and suffered the humiliation of wetting herself in public,” a passenger told The Australian .
“Midway through the flight, every toilet failed.
“For the remaining three hours, the cabin crew informed us we would need to relieve ourselves in bottles or ‘on top of whatever wa
