Every day, police officers respond to reports of all sorts of events and nonevents, most of which never make the news. Here is a sampling of lesser-known — but no less noteworthy — incidents from police log books (a.k.a. blotters) in our communities.

LOST RACING PIGEON

Pigeon racing is a sport you probably don’t think much about, unless you (or someone you know) owns homing pigeons that actively race, or, in the case of North Andover police, you have a chance encounter with one of these fine feathered competitors.
