MADISON (WKOW) — Shoppers in Wisconsin have been advised to check their freezers. A popular brand of shrimp sold at Kroger chains like Pick 'n Save and Metro Market has been recalled due to concerns of radioactivity.

The FDA reported radioactive contamination in an imported shipment of Aquastar shrimp from Indonesia, prompting a broad investigation and a growing list of recalls.

"I mean, am I gonna grow a third arm? Like, that's crazy. Radioactive shrimp. And I love like, that's the one seafood that I actually like to enjoy," Sam Garrison said.

Garrison was shopping on a Friday night. He said heard about the recall and can't believe it.

"I don't want to, you know, pick up or go to a shrimp cocktail bar and then, you know, accidentally grow become Superman or something," Garrison said.
