Northwest Ohio Manufacturers think they need an image makeover to find the workers they must have to flourish.
That’s the message from a gathering of regional political and economic leaders at the Center to Advance Manufacturing at Bowling Green State University.
The Ohio Department of Development and Department of Higher Education teamed up to form the the Center to Advance Manufacturing at BGSU with Owens Community College and the University of Findlay.
The intent is to have a regional resource to train workers as needed skills change and to create a pipeline between college students and manufacturing companies that enhances the talent pool for employers and provides a real world educational component for the students.
The care and feeding of manufacturing is a huge issue throughout
