Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital in Drogheda, Co Louth

Questions have been raised about the level of oversight of a locum histopathologist in Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital in Drogheda after a number of patients received the wrong grading for precancerous cells.

The locum worked at the hospital for 10 months, from February to November 2024, while a permanent consultant was sought. But patients who were affected by the incorrect readings of biopsy and surgical sample results are just being contacted now.
