Pubs are often located in high streets, town centres and other prominent places - but it's not uncommon to find them in a peculiar setting.

And this rings true for the Red Cow in Lower Gornal, a pre-Victorian pub situated in the middle of a modern housing estate.

You have to navigate along several residential streets before finding the pub down the bottom of a cul-de-sac.
