The owner of an 'excellent' Italian restaurant responded to a customer who was 'disappointed' over authenticity.

The diner complained 'no-one' spoke Italian in the Solihull restaurant and criticised a 'horrible' starter.

But the restaurant owner responded 'we are not in Rome' and revealed the guest withheld information about their visit.

The review was of Bon Gusto in the Knowle High Street.

On Google Reviews, Bon Gusto has a 4.8 score out of five stars.

A customer identified as Tony said: "What a little Italian gem Knowle has here.

"The service and pace was perfection. Knowle you are lucky to have this quality restaurant in the village, use it."
