GREEN BAY — The last time Micah Parsons was seen on an NFL football field during a game, the new Green Bay Packers star edge rusher was lying down on a trainers table on the Dallas Cowboys’ sideline.
But Parsons made it very clear on Friday night that you won’t find him quasi-napping on the Packers’ sideline during the team’s Sept. 7 regular-season opener against the Detroit Lions.
He will be on the field, he said.
“They didn’t give up what they gave up for me to sit on the sidelines,” said Parsons, who cost the Packers two first-round draft picks (2026, 2027) and three-time Pro Bowl defensive tackle Kenny Clark — not to mention a four-year, $186 million contract.
