BELFRY, Ky. (WYMT) - On Friday, Pike County Central faced Martin County in the opening game of the 40th Annual WYMT Community Trust Bank Pike County Bowl.

In the first quarter, Lane Adams was given a handoff and spun away from the Martin County defense, making it to the two-yard line before being forced out of bounds.

On the next play, Jonah Hicks ran the ball in for the first score of the game.

Martin County responded immediately with a 35-yard rushing touchdown by freshman Dillon Daniel.

Devan Maynard scored a two-point conversion, which put the Cardinals up 8-6.

The first half quickly turned in favor of Martin Co.

With 1:52 remaining in the second quarter, Maynard went with the Q-B keeper and scored a 90-yard touchdown which put the Cardinals ahead, 28-6.
