DEAR EDITOR:
It grieves me deeply that we have become a country where human lives, those of the immigrants in our country, are so expendable and treated like dirt, placed in horrific, unimaginable and dreadful conditions, basically steel cages, like those for animals that this administration is so proud of, with parents separated from children, many of whom may never see their parents again.
It happened in Trump’s first administration, and it is happening again. Yes, there are many illegals that should be deported, but they are in the minority, and so many who are contributing to our country in many jobs that are very necessary, actually those that many Americans do not want.
