On the lower Columbia River from Rocky Point/Tongue Point line upstream to Bonneville Dam there were 801 salmonid boats and 334 Washington bank rods tallied on the Aug. 23 flight count.

COLUMBIA MAINSTEM

Salmon/Steelhead

Section 1 (Bonneville) — 69 bank anglers kept four Chinook, two steelhead and released one steelhead; 23 boats/47 rods kept three Chinook and released one Chinook jack and one coho.

Section 2 (Camas/Washougal) — Three bank anglers had no catch; 46 boats/92 rods kept 10 Chinook, two Chinook jacks, three steelhead and released six steelhead.

Section 3 (I-5 Area) — Nine bank anglers had no catch; seven boats/14 rods had no catch.

Section 4 (Vancouver) — 75 bank anglers kept three Chinook; 118 boats/244 rods kept 18 Chinook, seven Chinook jacks and three steelhead.
