A Renfrewshire man who threatened to throw acid in his ex-partner's face has avoided jail .

Out-of-control Lukasz Pacala, 34, had multiple arguments with his former partner where he made threats and even stabbed jackets so hard that he broke a kitchen knife.

He also sent explicit videos of the woman to her new partner. Paisley Sheriff Court heard on Thursday (August 28) that the woman had told police of the abuse she had been experiencing when they attended her home on another matter on Sunday April 14, last year, the Paisley Daily Express reports .

Procurator fiscal depute Ms McCart said: "The woman informed police that on January 13, 2024, that she and the accused had an argument after he accused her of contacting her ex-partner.
