Emergency evacuations are underway as multiple fast-moving bushfires threaten properties across Queensland .

Residents in the Southern Downs, Bundaberg and Somerset regions have been warned to prepare to evacuate as several bushfires burn out of control.

Up to 300 people have been evacuated from a campground at Lake Wivenhoe in the Somerset Region where a large grassfire has been burning near the Brisbane Valley Highway since about 1.30pm.

Residents in Lake Wivenhoe, about 70km west of Brisbane, were warned to prepare to leave at about 4.15pm as conditions worsened.

Firefighters are on scene between Brisbane Valley Highway, Logan Inlet Road and Fig Tree Road.

The fire is travelling towards Logan Inlet Road and nearby residents are urged to prepare to leave.
