Two New Jersey police officers and an New York City Police Department officer will not be charged in a shootout at a Woodbridge hotel that resulted in the death of a New York man wanted in connection with a shooting.

A state Grand Jury on Friday voted not to indict Woodbridge Police officers Drew Krupinski and Justin Nerney and NYPD Det. Matthew Mauro in the June 2024 shooting.

On June 12, 2024, Edison Police discovered through an automatic license plate reader that the vehicle of a suspect in a New York City shooting was in the area. The suspect, Karl Gregory, 46, of New York City, was accused shooting a victim, leading to serious injuries, authorities said.
